The Catalan Club Barcelona are busy looking for a new defender to sign for next season, and somewhere along their line is Eric Garcia of Manchester City.
The young Spanish defender had agreed to return to Catalonia last year, but although Barcelona still loves him, they have given him a smaller package of salary than had been resolved 12 months ago.
Matthew Alemany recently took over as sports director and has begun making decisions.
One of them was supposed to give a green light to the signing ofEric Garcia, a player who has been very close to signing Barcelona in the last two wins last two transfer window.
According to Marca, Barcelona wants to reduce that initial proposal, due to the club’s financial situation which has worsened due to Corona virus and the following measures.
It remains to be seen whether the player, who has always been determined to return to Barcelona, will accept the offer.
