Eric Garcia has turned down a chance to sign a new contract with Man City as he looks to return to Camp Nou.
There has never been an official announcement when it comes to a Spanish player who has played just 4 games in the Premier League during the 2020-21 season.
However, City Manager Guardiola is hopeful that ‘one of his favorite players’ has a chance to join Ronald Koeman’s Barca side after the end of his contract at the Etihad Stadium.
“I would love to have Fifteen-year-old Eric Garcias in the way he behaves. He always thinks about the team. He always has a good face for good or bad times. He always helps the manager and coaching staff in the back room.
“Eric Garcia going to go with an amazing team and when people say that they’re not happy when I don’t play, I think of Eric Garcia. For most of the Match, he’s not on the bench because he’s going to move to Barcelona, I hope so. It’s hard, but it is.”

Garcia, who has been called up to the Spanish squad despite not having time to play at club level, has only played 10 games for City this season.
