Lionel Messi hit the 50th free-kick of his Barcelona career in a 3-2 win over Valencia on Sunday night.
The Argentine strikers bent his efforts beyond reaching Jasper Cillessen, the ball found a way back into the net by the strikers.
That was Messi’s 3rd goal from free-kick this season 2020-21- after strikes against Granada and Athletic Club – and, as mentioned, was the 50th in all Barcelona competitions.
The most freekicks for Leo Messi have hit one season in 2018/19 when he netted eight times in a dead ball. He did this seven times each in 2015/16 and 2017/18.
His first free-kick came in the 2008/09 campaign, and he netted five of them last season.
