Leo Messi has never agreed to extend his current Barcelona contract, meaning his glorious potential with the club will expire in just over a month.

Messi has released very little about his future after trying unsuccessfully to leave last summer, but recent reports suggest he may be confident he will stay at the club by president Joan Laporta.

According to the Mundo Deportivo reports says that Messi will break his silence when he speaks to Argentine newspaper Ole this weekend, which will be his first media appearance since the start of the year.

Barca manager Ronald Koeman is keen to see Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain link the pen to new ideas with the club, but his conversation comes at a time when Barcelona is said to be willing to consider the offer of all players to reduce their € 1bn debt.

Leo Messi is expected to kick off the Pichichi Trophy with 30 goals in 35 La Liga games this season, as Barcelona ends their league campaign with Eibar reinstated on Saturday night.
