The Manchester United-linked striker stayed at Westfalenstadion last year following a long-running transfer case, as the Red Devils were ultimately unwilling to meet Dortmund’s £ 109m bid.

Dortmund has already confirmed their UEFA Champions League next season, but the future of their star players remains shrouded in uncertainty.

According to German news media Bild, Dortmund has given Jadon Sancho a green light to further his career elsewhere where he wishes, as the Bundesliga side is determined to make money in the midst of this coronavirus pandemic.

The report also adds that Dortmund have already nominated Lille winger Jonathan Ikone as his replacement, but United will have to block Chelsea’s interest in Sancho.

The 21-year-old has scored 16 goals and 21 assists in all competitions during the stellar 2020-21 season, with his Dortmund contract expiring in the next 2 years.
