Rafael Varane was played a full 90 in the first leg of the UCL game last week but he has played 45 minutes against Osasuna over the weekend before being fouled in his leg.

Now, Los Blancos have confirmed that Varane is seriously injured in his right muscle, and as a result, he will not be available for UCL to Stamford Bridge.

Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is due to improve on the return of Ferland Mendy and Sergio Ramos, but both men returned to coaching the team on Monday morning.

The Real Madrid have a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their UCL clash with Chelsea.
