Aymeric Laporte has moved to Etihad Stadium from Athletic Bilbao in January 2018 when Manchester City opened their £ 57m release clause.
Laporte played for the Man City under Pep Guardiola until last season, when the Spanish international lost his place in the John Stones.
According to 90 minutes, Laporte told his agent he wished to leave Manchester City on the ground, although he would like to return to Spain if he was not offered a transfer fee.
Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, both in the transfer market for a new defender, are monitoring Laporte’s situation and currently have him on their wish list in the department.
Laporte have played 111 games for Man City in all competitions and have won 10 trophies, including 3 Premier League titles.
