Manchester City have announced that English Defender John Stones has renewed his current contract with the club in an agreement expiring in 2026.
The defender’s previous contract was due to expire at the end of next season in 2022 June but the Citizens have secured his long-term future at the club.
John Stones has arrived at the Machester City first season and has since played 168 games.
Stones said when the deal was announced. “I wouldn’t be happier, I’d love to be a part of this team,”
“There are a lot of great players here and I know we can continue to win trophies, which is something I’m very focused on.
“Working with a manager is a dream – it has taught me a lot about this game and I feel like I’m learning something new every day.”
If the England international sees his new 5-year contract, he will be a Manchester City player for ten years.
