Philippe Coutinho has failed to beat the high-rise expectations of the Camp Nou during a 3-year hiatus with the Catalan team, and the Brazilian is still considering his options.
According to the Corriere Dello Sport, Lazio has investigated Barcelona’s acquisition of Coutinho, although any possible deal will be required to see the player cut his wage.
Barcelona are looking to introduce first-team players this summer and it is understandable that Coutinho is one of the leading scorers willing to let go.
Along with Italian club Lazio, Coutinho has also attracted interest from his former English club Liverpool, as well as Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.
Coutinho has played 90 games for Barcelona since making history for the team from Anfield in January 2018, scoring 23 goals and providing 14 assists.
