Ligue 1 will release players for next month’s international matches

Ligue-1 has announced it will release players in South America World Cup qualifiers 2022 matches in September.

While the English Premier League, Spanish league La Liga, and Italian League Serie A will not allow their players to attend the September games, The French league Ligue 1 has taken a different approach.

This could mean that Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria, and Leandro Paredes will be allowed to attend Argentina’s 3 World Cup qualifiers, and Neymar jr Marqinhos, Rafinha will play Brazil national team for next month World Cup qualifiers.

The statement, released on Thursday, said the league would also stand with the teams to ensure that the players return to normalcy.
