Catalan club Barcelona have announced that La Masia Graduate Ansu Fati will become the first player to wear the Number 10 shirt in the post-Lionel Messi era.
Barca went to the Ansu Fati asked him if he wanted to accept the responsibility, and he said yes.
Philippe Coutinho would wear the Number 10 shirt once it became clear that he was going to stay at Barcelona, but the Brazilian international was not very keen on the idea.
Ansu Fati is now looking to make his return to the field after not featuring for Barcelona since last November due to complications with a knee injury, which has seen him have to undergo 4 surgeries.
In terms of the other number changes of Barcelona, Dembele is the new Number 7, Yusuf Demir is the number .11, and the new signing from sevilla Luuk de Jong takes the Number 17 shirt.
