Barcelona have made a final attempt to sign Spanish international Dani Olmo before the end of the summer transfer market window, and the player himself admits it all happened in an instant.
The Spanish international has been in talks with Barcelona on the final day of the transfer market window but in the end that did not happen.
Olmo has said “We didn’t have time to think about transfers, it all happened so fast,” Olmo told the Suddeutsche Zeitung.
“At the moment I have my mind on the season with Leipzig, and I live here.
“I really want to play, fight and compete in international competitions. That motivates me.”
Barcelona’s sporting director, Matthew Alemany also spoke about trying to transfer Dani Olmo during the launch of Luuk de Jong, without giving too much away.
“We could have talked about more players because in the last days of the market we have started various negotiations with players who could help us in the third attack,” he said.
