Lionel Messi held hands with Mauricio Pochettino when he was released last weekend to win over Lyon, which was thought to be a change at the time.

However, it has emerged that Leo Messi suffered a bone injury in his left knee, and the six-time Ballon d’Or winner was forced to miss Wednesday’s Metz win.

The problem was not considered serious at first, but Spanish medical center Mejor con Salud suggests that Leo Messi’s knee injury could cause him to be paralyzed in the next few weeks.

The report also adds that Leo Messi may have had his first problem with Venezuela earlier this month and since the outbreak, putting the attacker in danger of serious injury that could have sidelined him for months.

Leo Messi is expected to undergo further tests on the matter this week but has already been considered a major player in next week’s UEFA Champions League match against Manchester City at Parc des Princes.

The former Barcelona man will continue to travel to Paris since leaving emotionally out of the Camp Nou, unregistered and unhelpful in his first 3 games under Pochettino.
