Lionel Messi has suffered a knee injury and will miss the next PSG league game.

Messi replaced PSG in their 2-1 win over Lyon by making a splash around the football world. Mauricio Pochettino has received a lot of criticism for removing Messi but a report from the club on Tuesday revealed that Messi had received a knock on the knee.

The statement read that Messi will undergo further tests within 48 hours, meaning he will be released from their league match against Metz on Wednesday.

Absence is a PSG problem, not just because Leo Messi faces Metz. They have a busy schedule ahead, with Montpellier on September 25, UCL Match against Manchester City on September 28, and Rennes on October 3.
