When it first started in the summer, it took until the last day of the transfer market window to make a deal, but Barcelona man Antoine Griezmann has officially returned to Atletico Madrid on loan.
The French striker has re-signed with Atletico Madrid on a 2-year loan with the option to buy at the end of the season.
Barcelona were operating after eight footballs this summer due to their dangerous financial situation and the deal is not part of the ban.
Diego Simeone was also keen for the French international to return to the club, although details of the deal are still unclear.
It looks like Atletico will take all of Griezmann’s salary, which was helped by the decision to allow Saul Niguez to move to Chelsea on loan.
This is the result Griezmann has been seeking since the start of the summer, despite rumors that the Premier League is interested in his career, and Simeone will now be lucky enough to play Joao Felix, Griezmann, and Luis Suarez together.
