France’s disappointing performances at Euro 2020 continued their season to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, a shocking 1-1 draw with Bosnia and Ukraine in just four days, prompting Paul Pogba to speak out about Les Bleus’ plight.

The Manchester United midfielder, who is a key player in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, believes France is no longer the best national team in the world.

“I have won a game with the French national team for a long time. I remember it, we all lost it,” he said after the Ukraine match.

“We are no longer the best team in the world.

“We have to change everything and be more aggressive. We have to sweat the shirt more and put more ambition into it, that’s all.”

France captain Hugo Lloris also spoke on their current issue.

“Happiness is over in Russia 2018 World Cup,” Lloris said after a draw with Ukraine.

“There have been a lot of changes in the level of play, but it is up to all of us to raise the level of play,” said the captain.
