Pep Guardiola has admitted he feels “slightly guilty” in a 0-0 draw with Manchester City and Southampton on Saturday, as he has urged fans to come and support their team following the midweek of the UEFA Champions League victory.

The Spaniard’s persuasion that fans buy tickets for their Premier League match against the Saints led to a major uproar, but he later refused to apologize for his comments.

However, Pep Guardiola has now admitted that he feels ‘slightly guilty’ that his players did not win the game in front of 53,000 fans at the Etihad Stadium, having fired one shot in the 90th minute 0-0 against Southampton.

Guardiola said “Every time the game isn’t good I feel bad for them,” “They come and see the game, they see the game and if it doesn’t happen I feel guilty because we didn’t play well.”
