Leo Messi missed the last 2 games of Paris Saint-Germain due to a knee problem but Pep Guardiola is hopeful that his former player can face his side Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
The Argentine captain was able to take part in Monday’s training session with PSG, which increased his chances of qualifying for the highly-anticipated match.
Pep Guardiola told a news conference”I hope tomorrow he can play for the benefit of the game,”
Pep Guardiola, however, admitted he was surprised to see Leo Messi leave Barcelona in the summer.
“It was a surprise to everyone, but what happened happened. Everyone now has to accept it,” he said.
“Long ago you never thought of it, but it happened. In life, you never know what might happen.
“I’m sure you’ll be happy in Paris.”
