The Dutchman is in danger of losing his job after a poor start to the season and, in preparation for Thursday’s meeting with Cadiz, tensions began to spread in the media.

After watching his team score 54 crosses and snatch Granada, Ronald Koeman defended his tactics by asking who would expect his current team to equal the height of Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona team 8 years ago.

Barcelona suffered a second consecutive loss to LaLiga in a 0-0 draw in Cadiz on Thursday night at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandela.

The big news for coach Ronald Koeman’s first XI was the inclusion of Gavi, while Sergi Roberto and Philippe Coutinho were relegated to each bench. Luuk de Jong was also promoted to Memphis Depay, while Oscar Mingueza and Gerard Pique were also hailed.

This Barcelona squad is not good at all. They’re polite, but asking them to show maybe the best side of the team we’ve ever seen is just ridiculous, and Koeman deserves to be challenged on that.
