There have been concerns at Premier League Manchester United that they could lose Paul Pogba in a deal with Bosman at the end of the season, despite word from the French midfielder that he is now open for a contract extension at Old Trafford.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has bent back to try to match Pogba in his squad, whether that would be a good thing or not, and it is clear that the English club were keen not to lose their most expensive contract ever signed.

According to the L’Equipe reported on Thursday that Paul Pogba now wishes to extend his stay at Man United, not at least to become the highest-paid player in the Premier League.

Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has done his best to keep interested throughout Europe, even though there are very few people involved who can offer a higher salary than United.

In a similar vein, L’Equipe further explained that the owners of Manchester United, the Glazer family, have informed Pogba that they will do whatever it takes financially to keep him.

A salary of more than 20 million euros a year could see Pogba leave the likes of Kevin de Bruyne and Mohamed Salah for the Premier League recipients, and return Manchester United’s salary to a higher level
