Erling Haaland is one of the most sought-after strikers in European football, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly inquiring about his acquisition last summer.
PSG sporting director Leonardo maintains a good relationship with Erling Haaland agent Mino Raiola, but Borussia Dortmund have been adamant that their star will not be sold.
According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Raiola has set Haaland’s salary demands at 50 million euros a year and made it clear that his transfer fee is less than the reported market value of approximately 120 euros.
According to a source, the 21-year-old’s release clause is set between 70m and 90m euros, but it is still unclear how much the transfer will cost to potential claimants.
Mino Raiola has already negotiated Italian GK Donnarumma’s move to PSG this summer, as the Italian goalkeeper did not renew his current contract with Juventus and joined the Ligue 1 club on a free transfer.
Without a good Ligue 1 team relationship with Raiola, moving to Haaland could be difficult as PSG needs to comply with UEFA’s rules of Financial Fair Play.
Therefore, it remains to be seen whether Haaland’s possible transfer to PSG will be financially viable for the club, with some European officials also putting the Norwegian striker on their radar.
