Philippe Coutinho was surprised to be included in Brazil’s Tite squad to play Colombia and Argentina in a World Cup qualifier, but the Selecao coach is determined to make the Barcelona midfielder show his form a few years ago.

The 29-year-old became one of the world’s best players while in Liverpool but has failed to achieve his goal since moving to Barcelona for € 160 million in 2018.

“Philippe  Coutinho today is not the best Coutinho, but Coutinho is one of a great player. He has a great future, we will bring him back to what he was at Liverpool.

“Talent is not talked about and no one can say that Coutinho does not have it.

“For me, Couto can play both sides, he can play indoors or out, but he is an important player who has to go through in the end.”
