The United States National Football Team will play a friendly match against Bosnia and Herzegovina on December 18 in Carson, California, to keep its Major League Soccer players ready ahead of the January World Cup qualifiers 2022.
The match announced Tuesday is not on the day of the FIFA international tournament, which means no team will have more of its players based in Europe.
The USA is in 2nd place in the final round of World Cup qualifiers in CONCACAF in 6 of the 14 matches. USMNT will host Mexico on November 12 in Cincinnati and in Jamaica 4 days later, then play 3 qualifying matches from January 27 to February 2 and the last three from March 24-30.
The MLS regular season ends on Sunday and its last season ends on December 11. The U.S.A training camp will begin on December 5 in Carson.
Coach Gregg Berhalter is also planning a January training camp for MLS players before European players report ahead of World Cup qualifying matches.
Bosnia and Herzegovina are 4th in Europe Group D behind France, Ukraine, and Finland where they will face Finland on November 13 and Ukraine 4 days later, Zenica.
