You can be forgiven for thinking that Barcelona’s financial situation club will not follow a player like Erling Haaland, but Joan Laporta is determined to find a way to make it work.
It is no secret that Barcelona desperately needs goals, and few players in Europe guarantee them the way Erling Haaland does. The BVB striker has been wanted by Joan Laporta and has been keen to bring him to Camp Nou since his return as president.
With his threat of attack, his age, and his profile, Barcelona sees Haaland as the right package, a player who can see great benefits to him, both inside and outside the stadium. The hard part, of course, will hit the agreement to get to that stage.
There have been many speculations that Erling Haaland could be found at the end of this season in a reduced price agreement, but that figure is still said to be in the region of 70 million euros. Then there is the player’s salary and the amount that will be ordered by his agent, Mino Raiola, and it is at this last point that Joan Laporta is still going strong.
Erling Haaland and his representative are well aware that Barcelona are looking for him and have big plans for him, and their determination could be something when it comes to decision time.
It may seem impossible, but Laporta does not give up on this and will be in Haaland until the end.
