FIFPro announce 23-player shortlists for World XI

FIFPro has unveiled its 23-man shortlist for the annual XI World Cup, with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah leaving the highest profile in the men’s list.

Ten Premier League players are in contention, and European champions Chelsea have four nominees – Edouard Mendy, Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, and Romelu Lukaku.

Man Utd have two Portuguese players Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes on the shortlist, while Kevin De Bruyne and Ruben Dias from rivals Man City have been nominated.

All three top Paris Saint-Germain players – Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar – are on the list.
