Manchester United’s Premier League match against Brighton on Saturday has been postponed due to a coronavirus in Man Utd. The match was supposed to be at 13:30 CET.
It is the second Premier League match to be suspended from Man Utd this week after Tuesday’s Brentford match was also postponed. Unlike that time, the decision was made well in advance. The team also confirmed that training had been suspended “for a while.”
“Man United can confirm that our Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion, scheduled for Saturday, Match has been postponed and will be rescheduled in due course. Thanks to COVID-19, the club had no choice but to request that the match be rescheduled.
The decision means that five Premier League games have been canceled due to COVID since last Sunday and we want the suspension to grow significantly. And the second Premier League match was postponed to Thursday following Leicester’s clash with Tottenham.
Man Utd are 6th with 27 points and will visit Newcastle on December 27 and Brighton are 13th with 20 points and will host Brentford on Boxing Day.
