Real Madrid were not happy following UEFA’s decision to repeat Monday afternoon’s UEFA Champions League draw from scratch and Los Blancos have complained to the European governing body.
After UEFA announced that the draw would be redone, Real Madrid insisted that mistakes had been made after Los Blancos were drawn with Benfica.
According to Marca, Real Madrid believes that the UEFA error was not the result of a software error, according to the football association in a statement.
In the second draw, which took place three hours after the first, Real Madrid were against PSG, with the Spanish club talking about “unacceptable] decision and other adultery” by UEFA.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s director of relations, Emilio Butragueno, has struck out at UEFA after the end of Nyon’s second round of matches.
“It was strange, strange, remorseful, and very difficult to understand,” Butragueno said.
“Considering the millions of fans who have been waiting for the election, as well as the entire sports world.
“We will face all the enthusiasm. We know what this tournament means for the club and our fans. We hope to be in the quarter-finals.”
Real Madrid’s relationship with UEFA is almost non-existent following the launch of the UEFA Super League project, led by president Florentino Perez and backed by Barcelona and Juventus.
