Ousmane Dembélé has been publicly warned about getting a new team later this month by Barcelona sporting director Matthew Alemany.
With the Frenchman’s contract terminated in the summer, negotiations have dragged on for months without a new agreement.
After Xavi agreed on Wednesday that Dembélé would have to rewrite or leave, Alemany has now doubled that claim after a denial was dropped from Barça’s side in today’s Copa del Rey match against Athletic Club.
“We started negotiations in July. In the last six or seven months, we have spoken and submitted different proposals and all of them have been rejected, ”Alemany said in a statement on social media.
“Today, we think he does not want to continue here so there is no compromise on his part with the team. We have told his ambassadors that they should consider leaving before January 31st.
