Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Manchester United could be in doubt as he is expected to lose his salary at Old Trafford.
That will have an impact if United fails to qualify for the UEFA Champions League this season and the look is much higher given the troubled season the Red Devils are enduring.
If Manchester United are not one of the top four this season it means Ronaldo’s salary will drop by 25 percent, which is a figure that could make a striker want to leave Old Trafford.
He also joined the club from Juventus in the summer who left Old Trafford in 2009 to Real Madrid for a world-record £ 80 million.
Recent events in the team have seen Ronaldo grow frustrated and may want to leave again if things go awry.
United are 21 points adrift of Manchester City leading the Premier League despite spending more than 100 million pounds this summer.
