There is good news for Paris Saint-Germain, as Lionel Messi has finally returned to Paris. The striker was diagnosed with COVID-19 last week and had to stay in Rosario, where he was spending Christmas break.
That good test was on December 28, but now he has passed the isolation period alone and introduced a negative PCR test, which means he was able to fly to France.
The 34-year-old is now undergoing a physical examination with PSG doctors, to make sure he is healthy and that the virus has not left any lasting effects. It will be similar to regular pre-season medical examinations.
PSG are hopeful and will not release Leo Messi in their next match, a Ligue 1 match against Lyon on Sunday night. Since an Argentine can not be trained for a week, that may be an exaggeration.
