Italian football agent Giovanni Branchini has always kept his ear low when it comes to the transfer market window and says Real Madrid have made a new gift to Paris Saint-Germain through Kylian Mbappe.
After handing over 180 million euros at the end of the summer transfer window and that was rejected by PSG, Real Madrid have now reportedly made a new 50m euro bid to try and sign the player now.
The striker has only 6 months left on his current contract and could join Real Madrid for a free transfer in the summer, but Branchini says Los Blancos want to get their long-term goal before that.
“It’s up to PSG now, as Real Madrid have returned to Mbappe by offering 50m euros a few days ago,” Branchini told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
“I do not know how this will go. To me, it seems that Florentino Perez’s action should be taken seriously.
“It would be a shame for a player like Mbappe to go free in the summer. I don’t know what they think of this in Paris.”
It is unlikely that PSG will agree to sell the player now, given that they have not agreed in the summer.
Since then, the two clubs have been relegated to the Last 16 of the Champions League. So, if Mbappe had left now he would have faced his current PSG teammates while wearing white in February and March.
