Despite the home side creating many chances, Napoli held on for a 1-1 draw at the Camp Nou against Barcelona in their Europa League knockout playoff.

Napoli scored the first goal of the game in the 29th minute when Piotr Zielinski hit a high point into the net inside the box after his first shot was saved by Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Barcelona then received a penalty following a VAR check after Juan Jesus caught the ball in the box.

Ferran Torres made no mistake and closed the pitch in Alex Meret’s hand to bring Blaugrana back to level.

Fatigue started on Luciano Spalletti’s side as the game progressed, as they invited pressure from Barcelona to stay deep.

However, despite one-way traffic at the time of death, Napoli recently caught a draw as the sides returned to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in the second leg.
