Cristiano Ronaldo’s appearance on Manchester United’s trip to Elland Road where they will face Leeds United has seen Portugal’s legendary record re-emerge in the Premier League’s record books.

Entering the stadium on Sunday, the 37-year-old faced Leeds for the first time since October 18, 2003, marking the widest gap between the player’s appearance against a rival in the tournament’s history (18 years and 125 days.).

Cristiano  Ronaldo was actually booked for a swim when he first appeared on Elland Road, which came just two months after he started playing for the Red Devils, although Alex Ferguson’s side won 1-0 that day thanks to the head of captain Roy Keane.

Ronaldo’s goal in United’s 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion last week meant he had scored against 168 clubs and overseas clubs while playing brilliant football, as the striker looks to oust the Old Trafford club from the Champions League mid-season. a frustrating campaign.
