Mohamed Salah spoke of his pride in scoring his 150th Liverpool goal after scoring a hat-trick in the champions’ 3-1 win over Norwich City at Anfield.
Liverpool followed the Canaries in danger of collapsing after Milot Rashica’s strike, before goals from Sadio Mane, Salah, and Luis Diaz moved the Reds to six points in the Premier League.
With leaders Manchester City was then beaten by Tottenham 3-2 in a thrilling match at the Etihad Stadium, Salah’s historic goal helped boost hopes of the Reds title, and the Egyptian striker was delighted with his victory.
“Sounds fun,” the 29-year-old told Premier League producers.
“We were struggling at first when we conceded a goal but I think we played good football in the first half. In the second half we conceded a goal, the game was tough.
“But we were able to come back and it was a very good result.
“Yeah, I’m happy to get 150 points. I’m always proud to score for this club, and the most important thing is to win games, which we did today.”
