Two clubs are leading the race to sign Erling Haaland, with Athletic reports that the Norwegian player will decide his future in the coming weeks.
It is widely reported that the Borussia Dortmund striker has a release section that could apply this summer.
The report states that the Haaland camp has held talks with Barcelona and Bayern Munich but both clubs have been left behind by Manchester City and Real Madrid.
The duo are now embroiled in a battle to sign the 21-year-old, who has scored 80 goals in 79 games since joining Dortmund in January 2020.
Real Madrid have also been closely linked with Kylian Mbappé, a free agent this summer, and are reportedly keen to sign both of them this summer, although they would like Haaland to stay in Dortmund for one year until Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema. the contract expires in 2023.
Madrid can’t wait, however, with City, who often play without a missed striker Harry Kane last summer, ready to make a deal as soon as possible.
It’s a hot race.
