Bayern Munich wrapped up the Bundesliga title with three games to go on Saturday, with Klassiker’s 3-1 win over rivals Borussia Dortmund seeing Die Roten cross the line.

Dortmund needed to take at least one point from the Allianz Arena, but Bayern’s victory means they have now set a record of 10 top flight awards.

Serge Gnabry’s first goal moved the home side and the second was scored before Robert Lewandowski scored twice.

Emre Can’s 52-minute penalty gave Dortmund a way of life, though it was short-lived as Jamal Musiala won seven minutes early which meant the champagne coffers could be relegated to Bayern.

Although the 2021-22 season has not yet started well, Bayern are falling well in the DFB-Pokal and Champions League, once again dominating the league.

Bayern’s 10th consecutive game, the success of which is achieved under six different coaches, is unprecedented in any of Europe’s top five leagues.

It marks Julian Nagelsmann’s second trophy as coach, but his first league title.
