Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insisted star Mohamed Salah will finish the season strong after having his minutes managed in recent weeks.

Salah, who has scored 28 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions this season, has only played 90 minutes since Liverpool lost to Inter on March 8.

The Egyptian midfielder led his country to second place in the African Cup of Nations in January but has not scored for Liverpool in an open game since February 23.

But Klopp is not worried about his star production, highlighting the intensity of his latest program.

“I know Mo will finish strong,” he said. “Now we have to reorganize because each of our games is a final one. Since the beginning of January, that is crazy.

“The problem we have is that in January he had a very difficult time in his whole life.

They have played in the finals (of the Africa Cup of Nations), they have all 120 minutes, their role is huge.

“There is a lot of responsibility on his shoulders for the classroom meetings and things like that without any recovery at all.”

Salah played every 90 minutes against Manchester City, getting help in a 2-2 draw.
