Sadio Mane kept Liverpool in the Premier League title hunt with a priceless second-half equalizer in a gripping 2-2 draw with leaders Manchester City.

Jurgen Klopp’s side sits 14 points behind City in January, but a 10-game win narrows the gap to one point for many to understand as the title cut at the Etihad Stadium.

Diogo Jota canceled out Kevin De Bruyne’s goal with a happy start, and Mane immediately followed shortly after Gabriel Gabriel’s strike in the 36th minute.

No team can find a winner, with Raheem Sterling seeing the goal denied, as Pep Guardiola’s side have retained their low lead with seven games to go.

Sterling missed a good chance five minutes later denied by Alisson who was running after Jesus’ square ball, but City were ahead just seconds later.

De Bruyne won with a quick free-kick from Bernardo Silva before shooting a left foot effort at home, the ball bounced off the right post following a lucky turn from Joel Matip.

Liverpool responded within eight minutes, with Andy Robertson getting Trent Alexander-Arnold, who played the ball back to the far post for Jota to suppress a low strike under Ederson.

De Bruyne twisted his twist to find his pair before Jesus nailed Joao Cancelo’s cross and finished under the crossbar.

Mane equalized within minutes of the second half, running into Mohamed Salah’s ball past Ederson, who blocked Jota’s effort shortly thereafter.

Sterling thought he had pushed the athletes forward again, but a VAR check showed that the footballer was listening while De Bruyne passed the ball, with Salah scoring on the other side.

Substitute Riyad Mahrez gave the visitors panic late as he crossed the post with a free-kick, then threw it high after De Bruyne’s low pass, but there would have been no final goal.
