Tite says Brazil were dealt with neither the group of “death nor of life” after they were drawn to face Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon in the 2022 World Cup.
The Selecao face Switzerland and Serbia in the final World Cup in Russia four years ago, so it felt like a deja vu when it drew in Doha on Friday.
As the world’s top team, Brazil is expected to win Group G with Cameroon.
But Brazil’s boss Title says there will be no place for cold air.
He told reporters: “It’s not a [death] team or life. Everything is the same [Brazilian team in Russia 2018] – all that was lost was Costa Rica!
“We are talking about Switzerland and Serbia, the teams that have formed Italy and Portugal, and the strongest Cameroonian team in Africa.
“We’re going to have to raise our own game.”
All three of Brazil’s competitors entered the tournament as team winners, but Tite is focused on making sure his side are in the best position to face the tournament.
“That’s part of the book’s chapter. Now it’s another fact, another moment,” he said.
“We have to put this work together now. There are eight, nine months to the end of the year.
“We have to do an invisible job to keep an eye on them, which the fans may not be aware of but the health tracking, body tracking, tracking of the technical commission and the athlete himself.
“All this we respect their clubs. We have to follow all the rules and regulations to be in the best possible condition, with the exception of the pre-World Cup games. This is a very important thing for me.”
Brazil will face Serbia in their opening match of the tournament on November 24.
