Catalan giants FC Barcelona could offer Dani Alves a new contract after all. The Brazil international defender has returned to the Camp Nou this season after finishing in Brazil, and the 39-year-old has been well-inspired.
Dani Alves has put in a lot of solid play, despite his age, and has certainly helped lift the spirits behind the scenes.
Going this summer, it looks like Barcelona is likely to leave Dani Alves, given his age. The Barcelona are expected to solidify right back, with question marks remaining on Sergino Dest.
But according to sports, Barcelona are likely to offer Dani Alves a new contract. Dani Alves is said to want to continue playing in order to take part in the Brazil World Cup squad 2022 this winter.
And the report says Barcelona are determined to keep him there for another year to fulfill that wish.
Dani Alves’s contract expires at the end of June, and a new deal will have to be reached before the veteran can take over.
