Manchester City will reportedly end the signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
A few weeks ago the English club pulled ahead of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the race to sign the 21-year-old, and now he is about to wear the blue City shirt his father wore while playing.
According to The Athletic, Haaland’s move to the Etihad Stadium is a “deal made” and should be confirmed this week.
The personal terms between Manchester City and Haaland were agreed in April, and this paved the way for negotiations between the clubs.
Manchester City will inform Borussia Dortmund that they will pay the required fee for the release of the striker, who is reportedly 75 million euros (63 million pounds).
Should the situation continue as all teams expect, Haaland will be announced as a Manchester City player this week and meet with his team for pre-season preparations.
Haaland has attracted a lot of interest in a group of top European clubs, such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, he will move to Manchester City to join Pep Guardiola’s side before the 2022/23 season.
