Kylian Mbappe has not yet agreed on a contract with Paris Saint-Germain or any other club, according to the French star’s mother.
With Mbappe’s contract in the French capital expiring in June, the 23-year-old has been linked with a move to Real Madrid’s Champions League final.
Mbappe has scored 35 goals and provided 19 assistants to Mauricio Pochettino’s side in all competitions this season, both of the club’s top figures. PSG won the Ligue 1 title in the best way but failed when they faced Madrid in the Champions League in March.
The French newspaper Le Parisien reported on its website on Thursday that Mbappe would reach an agreement to extend his stay in Paris until June 2024.
Fayza Lamary, the mother of the 2018 World Cup winner, later moved to oppose Mbappe’s proposal and decide anything for her future.
“There is no agreement with Paris Saint-Germain [or any other party],” he wrote on Twitter.
“Negotiations on Kylian’s future continue in a calm atmosphere to allow him to make the best choices, with respect for all parties.”
Mbappe scored his 130th and 131 goals in Ligue 1 during his last game as PSG drew 3-3 with Strasbourg, making him the second highest scorer in the competition this century after Edinson Cavani, who scored 138 goals in the Paris Premier League. .
The striker has scored 26 goals following a quick break in Ligue 1 since making his debut for PSG in September 2017, more than double the number set by any other player in the top five European leagues at the time. Mohamed Salah has 12 Liverpool.
