Bayern Munich insist that Robert Lewandowski will remain in their ranks next season.
The Bavarians are ignoring the player’s messages and hopes from Barcelona about his signing.
Uli Hoeness, a former player and former president of the Bavarian team, told Sport1 that they are relying on Lewandowski.
“The new team is working hard. If all that was presented to me last week was successful, we will have an attractive team next year with Lewandowski,” Hoeness said.
In the same way, he sent a message to Barcelona and the player’s agent, Pini Zahavi.
“Things did not go as he and his agent intended,” Hoeness said.
“That is why they are angry, I would advise all concerned to be open and not allow the situation to escalate.
“The sun will shine on Lewandowski and Bayern again. It has always been this way.”
Lewandowski has lost his contract with Bayern next year and this could be the last chance the club will give him money, meaning, Hoeness agrees to keep Pole.
“If you do not have the alternative, you think it could close the gap to some extent, which is very difficult at the moment,” Hoeness said.
“I would recommend that they keep him for one year. After that we will see if he goes free or renews.”
