Zinedine Zidane is still without a team since he left Real Madrid. Despite not having such a long career, his coaching talent and quality in the dugout was demonstrated by winning three Champions League titles with Los Blancos.
Now, PSG and the French national team are his main options, but Zidane has not yet decided on a return to coaching.
In an interview with Telefoot, the French legend recalled certain moments of his career on stage. But he also talked about his future as a coach where he opened the gate but did not know when he would return to the scheme.
“Can I contribute to things as a coach? Yes, many, or I think some. I want to continue because I still have cheating, it’s my dream,” Zidane explained.
‘Magic’ has revealed what was the key to his historic success with Los Merengues. The most important point was the work, but also the people around him at the club. From the players to the team he put together to face one of the toughest challenges for any coach, to manage Real Madrid.
“We have worked hard, we have amazing players, and the team has followed me,” he added.
“I had a lot of things, but I have a big team behind me.
“Alone it would not have happened. I need to surround myself with people I feel comfortable with. If not, it will not work.”
The speech also touched on topics such as the 1998 World Cup and the 2006 World Cup finals, in which he also spoke about Materazzi’s head injury. A goal like Panenka against Gianluigi Buffon in the final and a historic goal against Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League final.
