Barcelona finally reach agreement with Sevilla over the transfer of Jules Kounde

Barcelona are on the verge of signing Jules Kounde from Sevilla, according to Fabrizio Romano. They reached an agreement with Sevilla over the transfer last weekend and agreed on personal terms with the player. The long saga is almost over.

Barcelona have seemingly lost the battle for Koundé with Chelsea, who appeared on the verge of signing the 23-year-old Frenchman at the end of last week.

However, a phone call from Xavi Hernandez convinced Kounde to wait for Barcelona to come for him, and Chelsea are tired of waiting for the go-ahead for a player despite agreeing on a deal with Sevilla.

And now it seems almost inevitable that Kounde will be on his way to Camp Nou. The center-back joined Sevilla from Bordeaux in the summer of 2019 and has since become one of the best in Spain and Europe. He played 133 games for the Andalusian club and earned eleven caps for the French national team.
