Inter are extremely close to signing free agent Paulo Dybala despite late interest from rivals AC Milan.
Dybala left Juventus as a free agent this summer after failing to reach a new deal. The striker has been in talks with Juventus over an extension and a new five-year contract worth 8 million euros a year before Christmas. However, after those goals were changed by Juve at the last minute due to a striker injury record, negotiations collapsed.
Nerazzurri and I have always been a favorite to sign Dybala following his departure from Juve, pushing for a deal on the line a few months ago. Now it looks like the agreement is about to be finalized.
The top rivals of the 2021/22 Coppa Italia champions in the race to sign number 10 were their rivals in the city of Milan in recent weeks, and we understand that the player had little interest from Man Utd and Arsenal.
Milan manager Stefano Pioli commented on Dybala’s speculation, as well as the club’s interest in Club Brugge star Charles De Ketelaere, saying: “De Ketelaere and Dybala are two very different profiles. Let the management choose, they will make the best decision for the team.”
With Inter signing Dybala, the decision to bring De Ketelaere could be easier for Milan’s management.
Along with signing Dybala, Inter have also recently announced the re-signing of Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea. The striker has endured a rough time at Blues but has been good for Inter during his two years at the club – scoring 64 goals and winning the Scudetto.
The club are also determined to finalize a deal to sign high-profile Torino full-back Gleison Bremer as soon as possible. The midfielder will replace Milan Skriniar, who is a favorite of Paris Saint-Germain.
Inter had offered a bid of 80 million euros to a Slovak, who has already agreed on personal terms with a Paris club.
