Luis Suarez has announced he will not be joining River Plate after they were knocked out of the Copa Libertadores.
Veteran striker Suarez, who was played for free after leaving Atletico Madrid, has been linked with River and has now confirmed that they are interested in something.
Former Ajax, Liverpool, and Barcelona man was open to action, and, inspired by the opportunity to fight for the Libertadores title.
But River was knocked out of the South American top club competition on Wednesday following a home draw with Velez Sarsfield in the last 16, a 1-0 defeat in total.
