Karim Benzema limped off the field with half an hour played of Real Madrid’s opening Champions League group game against Celtic after sustaining a knee injury.
The 34-year-old, who was considered doubtful ahead of the Group F game at Celtic Park, picked himself up after playing the pass and was seen to be in visible pain.
Benzema tried to shake off the injury but only stayed on the pitch for a few minutes before being replaced by Eden Hazard, with the game still goalless at that point.
France international Benzema led the Champions League goalscoring charts last season with 15 goals and had four goals in five games in all competitions this term before Tuesday.
Madrid have a busy run of fixtures ahead of them, with LaLiga matches against Real Mallorca and Atlético Madrid coming next week in a European clash with RB Leipzig.
