Alphonso Davies scored the first goal for Canada in the history of the men’s World Cup against Croatia.

Alphonso Davies scored Canada’s first ever men’s World Cup goal against Croatia after just 68 seconds of their second-round match at Qatar 2022. Davies missed a penalty shootout against Belgium in the last game.

Canada and Croatia are up against each other, both needing to win to be in contention for a place in the Round of 16. The start of the game is good news for Canada, who had plenty of scoring chances against Belgium but couldn’t get them going.

The Bayern Munich player also scored the fastest goal at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with an incredible header. Watch the stunning goal that gives Les Rouges the advantage over Croatia here.
