In the first week of last October, Di Maria left the field in Juventus’ match against Maccabi Khaifa in the UEFA Champions League due to thigh pain.
The club later informed that Di Maria will be out until the first week of November. Di Maria could not play the last five matches of the Italian club because of that muscle injury.
Qatar World Cup 2022 will start on November 20. Earlier, the injury of Di Maria, an important member of the team, was raising anxiety in the Argentina camp.
However, Di Maria is now ready to return to the field to relieve the worries of the former world champions.
In the press conference before Sunday’s match against Inter, Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri said that the former player of Real Madrid has the possibility to return to the field with this match.
“(Gleeson) Behema and Angel Di Maria have recovered. Now for me to decide, should I put them in the starting XI or on the bench.”
The teams have to announce the final team for the World Cup by November 14. Argentina will fight in the ‘C’ group in the world cup. There are former world champions Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland.
Lionel Scaloni’s team’s World Cup campaign begins on November 22, against Saudi Arabia.
